DESCRIPTION:Fixit Cafe is a hands on repair workshop where we encourage you to mend your broken stuff. We bring all the tools you need and  the expertise to help you find your fix. Fixit\, at its heart\, is  a response to global over production of stuff and trying to foster a circular economy. We welcome both newbie  fixers and those  with experience and skills and  will have a go at most things. including toasters\, bread machines\, torches\, turntables\, soup makers\, guitar leads\, amongst many others. We also have bike repair facilities. We are not however a repair service  and we cannot store items for you at the Cinema so fixes must leave with you ( except in  exceptional circumstances)  We tend to stay away from mobile phones as there are plenty of phone repair shops and we don't carry spares if something goes wrong (but if you are keen and have all the right parts we will help) At busy times we operate a triage system to find the right fixer to help and to manage queues we also discourage people from bringing multiple fixes to  the same event. ( exceptions also apply - if you are happy to get on yourself with just a little assistance for instance )  Fixing can be slow\,  we can't guarantee to fix your item and all of our fixers are volunteers  so please be nice! So\,  that said\,  come on down and enjoy some fabulous food from the Community Kitchen whist fixing your stuff!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Fixit Cafe is a hands on repair workshop where we encourage you to mend your broken stuff. We bring all the tools you need and  the expertise to help you find your fix. Fixit\, at its heart\, is  a response to global over production of stuff and trying to foster a circular economy. We welcome both newbie  fixers and those  with experience and skills and  will have a go at most things. including toasters\, bread machines\, torches\, turntables\, soup makers\, guitar leads\, amongst many others. We also have bike repair facilities. We are not however a repair service  and we cannot store items for you at the Cinema so fixes must leave with you ( except in  exceptional circumstances)  We tend to stay away from mobile phones as there are plenty of phone repair shops and we don't carry spares if something goes wrong (but if you are keen and have all the right parts we will help) At busy times we operate a triage system to find the right fixer to help and to manage queues we also discourage people from bringing multiple fixes to  the same event. ( exceptions also apply - if you are happy to get on yourself with just a little assistance for instance )  Fixing can be slow\,  we can't guarantee to fix your item and all of our fixers are volunteers  so please be nice! So\,  that said\,  come on down and enjoy some fabulous food from the Community Kitchen whist fixing your stuff!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Fixit Cafe is a hands on repair workshop where we encourage you to mend your broken stuff. We bring all the tools you need and  the expertise to help you find your fix. Fixit\, at its heart\, is  a response to global over production of stuff and trying to foster a circular economy. We welcome both newbie  fixers and those  with experience and skills and  will have a go at most things. including toasters\, bread machines\, torches\, turntables\, soup makers\, guitar leads\, amongst many others. We also have bike repair facilities. We are not however a repair service  and we cannot store items for you at the Cinema so fixes must leave with you ( except in  exceptional circumstances)  We tend to stay away from mobile phones as there are plenty of phone repair shops and we don't carry spares if something goes wrong (but if you are keen and have all the right parts we will help) At busy times we operate a triage system to find the right fixer to help and to manage queues we also discourage people from bringing multiple fixes to  the same event. ( exceptions also apply - if you are happy to get on yourself with just a little assistance for instance )  Fixing can be slow\,  we can't guarantee to fix your item and all of our fixers are volunteers  so please be nice! So\,  that said\,  come on down and enjoy some fabulous food from the Community Kitchen whist fixing your stuff!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:We are a non-auditioned group that meets on Tuesdays in St James's United Reformed Church with both an orchestra and a choir that meet on alternate weeks. DESCRIPTION:Fixit Cafe is a hands on repair workshop where we encourage you to mend your broken stuff. We bring all the tools you need and  the expertise to help you find your fix. Fixit\, at its heart\, is  a response to global over production of stuff and trying to foster a circular economy. We welcome both newbie  fixers and those  with experience and skills and  will have a go at most things. including toasters\, bread machines\, torches\, turntables\, soup makers\, guitar leads\, amongst many others. We also have bike repair facilities. We are not however a repair service  and we cannot store items for you at the Cinema so fixes must leave with you ( except in  exceptional circumstances)  We tend to stay away from mobile phones as there are plenty of phone repair shops and we don't carry spares if something goes wrong (but if you are keen and have all the right parts we will help) At busy times we operate a triage system to find the right fixer to help and to manage queues we also discourage people from bringing multiple fixes to  the same event. ( exceptions also apply - if you are happy to get on yourself with just a little assistance for instance )  Fixing can be slow\,  we can't guarantee to fix your item and all of our fixers are volunteers  so please be nice! So\,  that said\,  come on down and enjoy some fabulous food from the Community Kitchen whist fixing your stuff!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Fixit Cafe is a hands on repair workshop where we encourage you to mend your broken stuff. We bring all the tools you need and  the expertise to help you find your fix. Fixit\, at its heart\, is  a response to global over production of stuff and trying to foster a circular economy. We welcome both newbie  fixers and those  with experience and skills and  will have a go at most things. including toasters\, bread machines\, torches\, turntables\, soup makers\, guitar leads\, amongst many others. We also have bike repair facilities. We are not however a repair service  and we cannot store items for you at the Cinema so fixes must leave with you ( except in  exceptional circumstances)  We tend to stay away from mobile phones as there are plenty of phone repair shops and we don't carry spares if something goes wrong (but if you are keen and have all the right parts we will help) At busy times we operate a triage system to find the right fixer to help and to manage queues we also discourage people from bringing multiple fixes to  the same event. ( exceptions also apply - if you are happy to get on yourself with just a little assistance for instance )  Fixing can be slow\,  we can't guarantee to fix your item and all of our fixers are volunteers  so please be nice! So\,  that said\,  come on down and enjoy some fabulous food from the Community Kitchen whist fixing your stuff!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Creative Code Club is an informal and inclusive gathering of people interested in doing fun things with code. Learn about the practices and cultures of creative coding for sound and visuals.\n\nUpcoming dates: 12 March\, 26 March\, 9 April and will be focussed on topics chosen by micro-commission artists Sofia Fox Barton\, Kin\, and Alex Leigh.\n\nCreative Code Club is an informal and inclusive space for exploring creative coding\, and all levels of experience are very welcome\, including complete beginners.\n\nIn these sessions\, we discuss creative coding cultures and practices\, and will try out some beginner friendly programming languages for making music and video\, and share what we’ve made. Creative Code Club initiator Shelly Knotts will lead each session\, developing new skills and sharing the basics. She has spent years in the wild and making sound and video with code in clubs\, concert halls and underground noise venues.\n\nYou don’t need to attend each session like a course. DESCRIPTION:We are a non-auditioned group that meets on Tuesdays in Newcastle Arts Centre with both an orchestra and a choir that meet on alternate weeks. Doors open at 6:30pm for rehearsal to start at 6:45pm. Rehearsal will then finish by 9pm.\n\nWe play a range of music from both the stage and the screen: such as musicals\, films and video games. There are no restrictions or limitations about who can join! If we have 20 flutes\, we'll still accept more flute players! The important thing for us is that anyone who wants to play music gets the chance to! We do use sheet music so being able to read it will help. However\, if you are joining the choir\, it is not required.​\n\n
